Over the past couple of weeks I have been asked on a number of occasions how old PPI agreement can go back to be able to claim… so here’s the answers

Did your policy start in the last six years?
If your policy started in the last six years you can make a claim even if you no longer have the loan.

If your policy is older than 6 years but is still continuing or ended in the last 6 years you can still make a claim.
If your policy ceased over 6 years ago you may still be able to claim but it becomes difficult to remember what you were told at the time so evidentially your claim may have less chance of success. It will also depend on when you first knew you had been missold. There may also be difficulties in obtaining a copy of the agreement from the provider if you do not have a copy.
I hope this helps however if you would like more information please feel free to contact me on 0845 686 8060.
